Lately

Quick update! It's been a little crazy over here the past couple of days so I will post more later! I also need to do Evelyn's 7 month video! That will have to wait for later!

Jarom got me this video baby monitor for Mother's Day! It's AWESOME!! I LOVE it!!

And this little stinker LOVES to sit up in bed and play with her bear! I had NO idea how much she just quietly plays in her bed! It's pretty fun to watch!

She's thinking REALLY hard about crawling! She has just started to rock and it's SO CUTE!!! Exciting as it is, I am in NO hurry for her to crawl!

Sick baby! :( My oh my have we had a rough couple of days! FIRST she got REALLY constipated (my fault! I fed her too much cereal (I think)) Anyway, the poor thing was hurting so bad! She kept pooping these little tiny pellets and her bum was really sore! She would push SO hard to get those little poops out that she would throw up! Not just spit up, THROW UP! :( So I called the Doctor and they gave us some advice on what to do. In case your baby/child is ever constipated and you don't know what to do, let me tell you! Here are all the suggestions that the Doctor gave us: Sitz bath-put her in the tub with 1 tsp of baking soda and let her sit in it until she poops (in the tub)

Stick a lubricated Q-tip up her bum (Just the white part of the Q-tip) to help get things started.

Put 1 tsp of DARK Karo syrup in her bottle once a day until she becomes regular.

Give her diluted Apple of Pear juice.

Prunes, peaches, pears! Give her the 3 "P's"

and last but NOT least, SUPPOSITORY!

You better believe we tried ALL of those and then we tried a PediaLax suppository and BOOM! Within ONE minute, she was pooping and hasn't stopped since!! HALLELUJAH!

We should have just done that in the first place! SO-we got that under control and while that was going on, she's teething (she has 3 teeth, working on 2 more), her nose is running NON stop, she has a horrible cough, fever, and now a really bad Diaper rash that makes her VERY grumpy and sad! She screams when we even TOUCH her bum (with a diaper on and even WORSE without a diaper! Don't even get me started on trying to wipe her!) so we have to be very careful and gentle when we hold her! She won't even sit down!

THEN-as if that wasn't enough! She wasn't peeing! She hadn't had a wet diaper since SATURDAY! So that was worrying me but I just kept trying to feed her (She didn't want to eat ANYTHING) but she was SUPER fussy and so I called the Doctor (Again) and they said to bring her in right away! I asked if we could wait until 4 (when Jarom could come home in between work and school) and she said she can't wait that long! If she is dehydrated then she needs to be hospitalized right away! I instantly started worrying and crying (I woke up this morning SICK! So I was extra emotional) I called Jarom and he rushed home and we took her in! They said that she had a really bad sore throat which is probably why she didn't want to eat but her mouth was wet and she had tears so they weren't worried too much and told us to watch for that and sent us on our way! PHEW! She is on the up and up now! (almost) back to her normal self! Besides the Diaper rash! Poor baby!! As for me, I am sick, sick, sick! It's been a hard day! No slowing down for us! Jarom can't miss any work OR school so it's been a rough day to say the least! LUCKILY Evelyn has taken some good naps today and so I've been able to rest while she does!

Did I say this was going to be a quick update? Oh well!

Everett LOVES Evelyn! It's so much fun! He is so sweet to her and calls for her if he can't see her! It's so sweet! We have enjoyed spending time with him and Courtenay once a week to go to seven peaks! So much fun!

Evelyn is STILL cute! and getting cuter every second!! I could smooch her face right off!

PRUNES! This is day ONE of constipation and she LOVED the prunes! Too bad it didn't really help her!

My hard workin' Man! Poor guy fell asleep doing his Homework one night! He's working SO hard! So thankful for him! Only 18 more days until this semester is over! Yes, we are counting down!

We went on a fun double date with Joanna and Cody! We went to dinner and then to Trafalga (A family fun center) to play Mini Golf! We had a lot of fun! We will definitely go back!

Fun weekend!

 Joanna and Cody invited us to his Family's cabin over the weekend!

 We were really excited for a nice little get-away!

We made some new friends and Evelyn found herself a new little boyfriend, Max!

He is one month older than her so they had fun playing together. (When Evelyn wasn't crying!)

It started out GREAT! First up, Camp fire with S'mores and fun stories!

This was Evelyn's first camp fire! She loved it! She wouldn't stop staring at the flames! 

 That night was HORRIBLE!

Evelyn's worst night of her WHOLE LIFE! Seriously! 

She was up pretty much ALL. NIGHT. LONG! CRYING! UGH!

I felt so bad! I was afraid we were keeping the whole house up! YIKES! 

But the poor little baby was so, so sad! It made me sad! And a wee bit frustrated!

She was getting 3 teeth! 

And I think maybe she had a little bit of gas because she kept tooting! 

Anyway, we had a horrible night but the next day was a lot of fun!

 I was horrible at remembering to bring my camera with me and take pictures so we didn't get any pictures of any of our adventures but trust me, it was fun! 

Cody took some people out on the boat while the Mama's stayed with the sleeping babies and chatted and enjoyed the warm weather! I loved it! I could chat all day I think!

Then we went on a little hike/walk! That was fun! 

Joanna and Cody made us all a delicious dinner and then we put the babies down for bed!

Well, Max went to sleep at least! Evelyn, not so much!

She screamed all night long! So finally we just decided to call it a trip and pack up and go home early!

We stayed for the camp fire and then headed home at about 10:30. I was sad to leave early but Evelyn fell asleep almost the second we started driving and she slept pretty good that night! So it was good that we all got some MUCH needed sleep! 

One of her teeth broke through that night so I think it gave her a little bit of relief! PHEW!

So, Even though poor Evelyn made the trip a little less desirable, we still had a lot of fun hanging out, playing games, eating yummy food and laughing!

My S-I-L, Jessica told me about this when she saw this picture of me and Evelyn and I loved the idea and wanted to be a part of it!

It really got me thinking, too!

Evelyn is my best little buddy and I spend almost all day thinking about how much I want to capture every second of her life and really enjoy this time with her! I am SO lucky to be able to stay home with her and have her as my little buddy! I just can't even put into words how grateful I feel for that!

I am always taking pictures of her and capturing "her" moments and never "our" moments!

I want to remember OUR time together too!

So, this was just a good reminder for me!

Crazy for Pineapple!

We had Pineapple with our dinner the other night and I thought it would be fun to see what Evelyn thought of it! She LOVED it!!! She went crazy for it and freaked out when I took it away! It was cold so I think that felt good on her gums and I think that the sweet juice was a plus too! Please IGNORE our nerdy conversation about how funny our child is and Jarom's massive, disgusting burp (sorry 'bout that! Its just too cute to not post! Evelyn, not the BURP!) and just watch the little munchkin chow down!

6 Months and a Video

Evelyn is 1/2 a year old!

 This has seriously been the HARDEST 6 months of my life but without a doubt, the BEST 6 months of my life!

She is such a Joy to be around! I swear every month gets more and more fun and she continues to get CUTER somehow!

She has experienced and learned a lot of new things in the past month! 

She is 15 Lbs. 2 Oz. 25 in. long! Low 30th %'s for everything but her HEAD! She is in the 75th % for her head! She's got a BIG noggin!

She has started to eat solids! It is pretty recent so she hasn't tried very many things but so far she really loves Peaches! It's so cute when we feed her, the whole time she is eating she makes the "mmmmm" sound! Over and over and over! She loves it! It's so fun! Her Diapers, on the other hand, are NOT fun! Lets be real here, changing diapers has NEVER been one of my favorite things but now that she is eating solids, it's a lot less "fun"! But on a positive note, we have had a lot less blowouts because everything is a little more "solid" if ya know what I mean! I'll spare you the details! Oh, and a LOT more stinky! Ok, ok, enough about Poop!

Her first tooth broke through last night! She has been slobbery and grumpy the past couple of days but now that that darn tooth is in she is so happy again! Until the next one comes!

She is a professional sitter upper! She almost never falls over anymore, but it does happen occasionally! 

She loves to suck on her little toesies like they are dessert or something and it makes her feet STINKY! HA!

She is still our good little sleeper (besides those nights when she is sick or teething. Then she will get up once in the night) 

She LOVES to be outside!

She is such a wiggler and a mover! I just know that when she starts to crawl, we will be in trouble! I'm sure she will get into all sorts of mischief! 

She loves to look at books and likes when we read them to her!

She gets SOOO giggly and slap happy before bed time! It's hilarious! When we put her in her crib and even just LOOK at her, she cracks up! She flaps her arms and legs like crazy and will just play in her crib until she falls asleep! Its fun to listen to her "talk" to herself in there! Sometimes its hard to leave her because she is so happy and funny that we want to get her up and play with her some more!

She loves to play with her Daddy! She lights up whenever she See's him! I can't even explain the bond that they have and I love to watch it! It makes me teary eyed to watch them together and see how much they love each other! 

She is a STRONG little bugger! Holding her can sometimes take the energy out of me because she moves ALL. THE. TIME! I wouldn't be surprised if she went straight to walking before crawling! But I hope she doesn't! Walking is for BIG girls and I'm not ready for such a big girl yet!!

She loves playing with toys and anything she can get her chubby little fingers on and almost everything goes straight to her mouth!

She is getting better at playing with toys and entertaining herself, which is fun (and nice)!

This whole "growing up" thing is very bitter sweet! It's fun to watch her learn new things but it also makes me sad that my little baby is growing up! Next thing I know, She will be walking and talking and going to school and DATING and getting MARRIED! AH! I'm getting ahead of myself! But seriously! I think about that stuff!

She is SO PRETTY! She has the prettiest eyes and cutest little grin that is sure to melt you! Her ears stick straight out and I LOVE them! She is getting a little more hair and it's starting to look light brown instead of blond! We'll see!

 I could watch her discover and play and grin all day long! Until she gets hungry or tired...that's not very fun to watch!

 I love her so much I could just BURST!

 She makes my heart so happy and I feel so lucky to be her Mama!

I feel like every time she smiles at me she is saying "I love you" or "thanks for being my Mommy!" and I can't help but smile right back and giggle a little bit!

She is the most precious gift we could ever imagine receiving and we love her more and more each day!

We look forward to watching her grow and learn and are excited for all the adventures ahead of us!

Family Pictures

We got our family pictures taken Easter weekend and we just got them back last night!

I was SO excited all week, to get them! We got a SMOKIN deal! This lady is building her portfolio so we got an almost 2 hour session and ALL the pictures (edited and beautified) for $30!!

STEAL OF A DEAL!!!

I am so pleased with her work and she was the NICEST woman! Young and cute and FUN! We got A LOT of pictures and so I just really can't decide which ones are my favorite to post and print and such. I'll post some on here but I posted more on Facebook!

I made Evelyn's outfit so don't look too close! I couldn't find ANYTHING that I wanted her to wear! I shopped until the night before our pictures and still, NOTHING! So I came home and looked in my stuff to see what I could find. I cut up an old stained shirt for her shirt and shoes and I made the skirt out of an adult Mini skirt that I thrifted when I was pregnant with the twins with the intent of making them matching dresses out of it. So it worked out perfect and I LOVE the color combo. But like I said, I put it ALL together the night before pictures (at like 9 PM) so it's not the best work I've ever done but I still love it! I love them and I love my little family!!!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful first Easter with Evelyn!

I was so excited to get stuff for her very first Easter Basket and tell her all about Easter!

We put books and toys and FOOD in her Easter basket!

I can't believe she will soon be eating solids! Our little baby is growing up!

Jarom and Evelyn woke me up this morning with MY Easter Basket that they had put together! Talk about SPOILED! Such a fun way to wake up!

Then we gave Evelyn hers! I was so excited!

Lame, I know!

She has NO idea but I was still so excited to give it to her! I am convinced that she loved it and enjoys playing with her new toys! :)

We went to Church and then enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL day by going on a walk with Jenni, Michael and Harlow and then we had a DELICIOUS Ham and potato FEAST together! What a day! We are so blessed!

Another super cute dress from Jessica!

I LOVE it!! It's the PERFECT Easter dress!

I just can't believe it fits her! I remember when Jessica gave it to me after we found out that we were having a girl! Looking at it hanging in her closet for SOO long and now it fits her!!! Where is the time going?!?!

See? She loves it! :)

P.s. We got our family pictures taken yesterday! I can't wait to see them!!!

5 Months and a Video

I think I say this every month but 5 months?!

REALLY?!

Well yes, I guess it's true.

Evelyn is 5 months old!

This age is honestly so fun! I would like time to SLOW DOWN and keep her at this age for at least 2 months instead of just one! I know, I know. We have lots of fun stuff ahead of us but it's just going way too fast! I am all for the growing up adventure, I just wish time would slow down and we could enjoy this stage for a little longer! She is the perfect size to snuggle and smooch til your lips fall off! Her cheeks are pretty much irresistible and her thunder thighs are starting to get a little more thundery! Perfection!

I will be the first to admit, having a newborn was hard! Really hard! But I can't help but miss having a teesny little snuggle bug! Especially since baby Harlow came to the world!

I seriously feel like I JUST had a baby! Like this whole thing is still really new to me but somehow she seems to be growing so fast and getting so big! I feel like I should still have a newborn! It's a very weird feeling!

Well lets get to it, let me tell you what our little sugar plum is up to these days!

She hates when Mommy eats/drinks dairy! She was fussy, fussy, fussy and I couldn't figure it out until I just tried the no dairy thing and it solved the problem! It made a HUGE difference and she became this super HAPPY, almost perfect baby most of the time! We weren't sure if it was a coincidence or if it was really the Dairy so I had some older milk (with dairy in it) in the freezer that I got out and fed to her and she was up crying all night long! So, no dairy for me! It's hard! I really miss Ice cream! Really bad! But it's worth it! Happy baby= Happy Mommy!

She is so close to sitting up by herself! She sits up for a couple of seconds by herself before she starts to tip over! Such a big girl! I'm not sure if I'm ready for her to do that! But it IS really fun to watch her grow and do new things!

She has found her feeties! She loves to play with them all the time!

She loves when we read to her and looking at books!

We got a nice little break from the teething monster which was sooo very nice but it's back and from what I can tell, it's hurting her pretty bad! poor baby!

She loves being outside and going on walks! We go on a walk almost everyday and if there is a day that I don't get out, i feel like she knows it. She's gets more fussy and squealy!

She is such a little squealer! She squeals almost all day long! Not mad or sad or anything, just wants to hear her voice! It's funny and cute most of the time but sometimes, just sometimes, it can get a little (or a lot) annoying when it happens all day long or when we are at church and it's suppose to be quiet time!

She likes to play with toys but gets bored of them pretty quick. Sometimes she will sit and play for a while but most of the time she sucks on her toys and then throws them and squeals for me to get them for her! ha ha

She is such a Daddy's girl! This girl LOVES her Daddy and lights up and gets so excited when she see's him! It's quite cute!

She wakes up SO happy and smiley! When I go in to get her in the morning or from a nap, she smiles and kicks her legs and waves her hands! It's pretty fun and the BEST way to start my day!

She blows out of almost EVERY outfit! This girl can POOP!! UGH!! We have tried just about every Diaper, moved her up in size, everything! Nothing helps! Oh well. Good thing I love her so much because I would NEVER clean up this much poop for anyone else!

She is the perfect size for Daddy to start throwing her all over the place and she loves it! So does he! I, on the other hand, don't enjoy it that much! It is cute to hear her laugh so hard and there is nothing that I love more than watching Jarom play with her, but it scares me SO BAD!

She is such a good girl and these have been the hardest but BEST 5 months of my life! I am so grateful to be able to stay home with her all day and that I have a husband who works so hard to make that possible! We are so in love with this little girl!

Apparently I forgot to delete the "directed by" etc. boxes on the video! Oops!

Newest Addition

Baby Harlow is here!

Harlow Carol Woodmansee was born on March 13.

She is so beautiful and has chubby cheeks and LOTS of beautiful dark hair!

I love that teensy little baby SO much!

These pictures honestly don't do her justice! She is WAY cuter and Prettier in person when you can see all of your cute faces that she makes and hear all those adorable little newborn noises!

Being with her has made me really "newborn" hungry! I know I still have a little baby but just holding a brand new baby is different! So I'm glad she is here to satisfy my "hunger"! Holding her is heavenly!

Seriously! I wish I could stay up there all day long and just snuggle her!

Even if I'm not holding her, I like to look at her and hear those little peeps that she makes! Jenni and Michael seem to be adjusting to life with a new baby really quick! It's really fun to watch them love on her and become new parents!

It's crazy to think that we were just there a couple months ago! It seems like just yesterday that Evelyn was that small and we were going through it all!

Evelyn looks like a GIANT next to her! I have always thought that Evelyn was a little petite but my goodness, she looks BIG next to Harlow!

Jenni is looking awesome! Cute little Mama!

When I was visiting this afternoon, I was holding Harlow and looking at Evelyn and just couldn't hold back the tears! It made me so emotional to think of these little babies together! They have some wonderful adventures ahead of them and I am so happy they have each other like me and Jenni have had each other!

We love you Baby Harlow and we are so glad you are finally here!

Little Swimmer

Court and John invited us to go Swimming with them at an indoor pool in Lehi! I was so excited to see Evelyn get in the Pool! She did really well and we think she liked it! She didn't cry, so she didn't hate it! She looked so cute in her swimming suit! It was a little too big but oh well! I can't wait for the summer when we can go swimming all the time! It felt good to get in the warm(ish) water. I wasn't so sure about getting into a swimming suit myself but I survived and enjoyed myself! We had a lot of fun! Sunday walk and Headband Holder

So the other day I decided to tackle Evelyn's room! It just had some odds and ends that I had been wanting to clean up for a long time but when I usually get my "chores" done is when she is asleep...in her room. One of the things that I had wanted to find a solution for since BEFORE she was born (I know, I know! Procrastinator!) was a way to store all of her headbands! I have the CUTEST bow board that my sister made me for my shower but it doesn't hold headbands so they were all in a big mess on her shelf! Not very pretty! So this is what I found:

You can put the extra ones inside if you have any extra. Or you can put the bows inside if you don't have a bow board!

Not my Idea! I am a total idea copier on this one! I found the Idea on Pinterest! It works really well and has totally solved the head band mess! And I had all the supplies to make it already! All you need is a round container, (I used an quick oats container) cute paper and anything else you want to decorate with (it has to be flat because the headbands are going to go around it. I used doily's as well as some cute paper),and some Mod Podge! easy peasy!

The weather here has been crazy! One day it is beautiful spring weather! Warm, sunny, and nice! And then the next day we wake up to SNOW!

I like both so I will take it!

Anyway, today was one of those pretty sunny days so we decided to take a nice walk around the neighborhood after church! Evelyn LOVES walks! She likes new things to look at so we have been taking walks every chance we get!

This is her SUPER cute dress Aunt Jessica made her! We LOVE it and she looks oh so cute in it!! Thanks Jessica!

We are getting over the sickies here and have a healthy household again! Yay! Evelyn is still teething but that's manageable!

She loves this toy! Its really fun to see her learn new things everyday in it! She is gradually learning about all the toys that are on it and she loves it! It's fun to see her use her hands! She is starting some hand/eye coordination and it's hilarious! She has learned to take her Binky out and almost put it back in! She looks at it and knows what to do with it but when it comes to actually putting it in her mouth she has a hard time! Sometimes it will end up on her cheek or nose! Silly girl!

She is ALWAYS trying to stick this turtles head in her mouth! It's so funny! She reaches SO far for it with her mouth wide open stretching her neck so far, her head shakes! Apparently she's not very happy with me for taking this picture (the finger). She is always sucking and chewing on things and I guess that turtle looks pretty tasty!

We are all happy and healthy and well
