We're MARRIED!!!!

Jarom and I got Married on April 17th! It was the BEST day! Our family and Friends were all there with us to celebrate and it was so much fun! It rained on our way to the temple and on our way home but for pictures and the reception, it was perfect! How lucky, huh? The night before the wedding, my mom planned this BIG bunco party with Hawaiian Haystacks! It was huge and SO much fun! It was a great way for everyone to get acquainted! I don't have ANY pictures of the Bunco party OR the wedding! ( i took that picture from One of Jarom's Friends Hehe) Everyone else does, but seeing as we were the bride and groom, we weren't taking any pictures! So once i get them, i'll post them for sure! i'm so excited to see them! I haven't even seen them yet! After the reception was over and Jarom and I were gone, My family and the Lances put on a special little show and videotaped it for me and Jarom! It was awesome! They were all such good sports and great dancers and singers! haha Thanks, everyone for the laughs! We can't wait do fun stuff like that WITH you next time! Maybe for the next wedding...Jenni!? ;) wink wink.

Jarom had to be back at work and school the next week so we will be going on more of a honeymoon in June, when he is done with school, Disneyland maybe? :) but for now, we took a little weekend honeymoon-"ish" thing. It was really fun! We stayed the first 2 nights in the CUTEST bed and breakfast, in Eugene. It was so nice! Then we started our journey to California. We decided to drive along the coast and stop at random places and just have some fun and take our time. Jarom took some extra days off of work so we had until tuesday to get back so we took our time and stopped at some fun Hotels and Beaches and the redwoods and other fun things along the way! It was so nice to be together and relax and just have fun! Being Married is the best! I get to spend everyday with my best friend and love of my life! I feel so blessed to have such a hard working, loving husband!

When we got back to California, i had a little bit of a homesick breakdown. But luckily, i had Jarom and My parents were coming in a few days for our reception in California. It was SO fun to have them here and SO good to spend time with them! we went to Monterey and out to dinner and then most of Saturday, we spent setting everything up with family and friends. It was such a pretty day and it was fun to be with everyone outside, setting up and listening to music and dancing. The Reception was awesome! So many people came and we had yummy food and dancing! We really know how to party! Jaroms favorite treat is Oreo's so Jan made him 3 giant Oreo Cakes! They were amazing!!! and SO YUMMY!!! It was a really fun night and i'm so glad my parents were there!!! we don't have very many pictures of this reception but once i get some from other people, i'll post more!

I finally got to throw my bouquet. I forgot to on my wedding day. My mom saved my bouquet and brought it to california the next week and it stilly looked perfect! Way to go mom!

We're back into the swing of things now and Jarom is back at school and work. I have been unpacking and getting things in order and trying to make everything fit into our little space, making dinner and doing dishes and laundry....ya know, the wife duties. Its been really fun! I love making dinner for Jarom and doing things for him! He's so funny, but he really does get so excited to have our dinner ready when he gets home from work! I'm just excited that he is home! I miss him all day but it makes it that much better when he comes home! He is the best Husband and we have so much fun together! Living with a boy isn't that bad....so far! Its only been 2 weeks! :) Jarom is really clean though and he helps with the dishes and cleaning, when he can! I'm still feelin things out here. Its a new place with new people so it's a little different but everyone is SO nice. I'm sure things will work out great and i'll know lots of people in no time. We went to our new ward on sunday and everyone is so nice! We have our first ward activity on saturday so we're pretty excited to go to that. Its a Cinco De Mayo Party and we hear that they always have good food. That always makes for a good party! Its nice to have Jarom's family here to help us when we need it and be our friends! :) I went grocery shopping with Jessica the other day, and we're going over there for dinner tonight so thats fun! I feel like i have friends! :) haha We are so Thankful for all the love and support of our families and friends! We couldn't have asked for more! We have had so much help and couldn't have done it without the help of everyone! We are so Blessed!

Its official! He's a full time missionary! Scooter...or I guess, Elder Mitchell now, got set apart tonight. I'm so proud of him! He will be such a GREAT Missionary! We will miss his SO bad but we're all so excited for him and so proud!

Jarom, temple day, california, bridal shower...

I know, it's taken me FOREVER to post and tell all about my time with Jarom!! But it usually does take me a while so that nothin new! Being with Jarom again was so great!! We went 2 months apart this time! NOT FUN! But when he showed up, it was all worth it! First we went to get our Marriage license! That was kind of wierd and exciting! Then we spent time with my family and just hung out.
The next day, we got up bright and early to go to the temple! It was such a special day for all of us i think! We had so many people there to support us and it was extra special because Jarom got to be there with me but also because me and Scooter went together!! It was so nice to have him there and know that i wasn't the only "new" one! It all went so well and it was so fun to see everyone and be with them! I'm so grateful for friends and family who love and support me! I am SO blessed!It was a very spiritual day filled with family and friends! What more could i ask for? After the Temple, my dad took everyone to dinner! Thanks daddy!! It was lots of fun to just sit back and talk to everyone and eat! :) That night we played some games...PIT, for Jarom mostly! Its his favorite game to play with my family! He gets so in to it, it can be a little scary sometimes! hahah we still love him though! My family loves playing with him and when i get mad at him for being so crazy they tell me thats what they like! So, whatever! I think he cheats sometimes but he doesn't believe he does! haha :) Thats what makes playing with him so fun i guess!!
The next day we packed up and headed to California! Jarom still had school and work all day but he went in extra early so that he could get off early to spend time with me! He works SO hard! SERIOUSLY! I am so impressed by him and how hard he works for me and eventually our family! I am grateful for him and everything he does for me! I am so Blessed! We had so much fun together and got a little glimpse of what it will be like when we're married...him going to school and work and being so busy, not being able to spend as much time with me! Totally different from how our relationship has been. We're so used to our trips and vacations and when we're together, its ALL day! So this was a bit different! It was nice to have more one on one time with the rest of his family though, to get to know them a little better was lots of fun! I went to San Jose with his mom one day and we went to the biggest fabric store EVER! and then we went out to lunch and talked a lot! That was a fun day! I had fun with Jessica and Sadie everyday!! We went shopping and went for a walk! The SUN was so NICE! Jessica and Jan planned a Bridal shower for me while i was there! It was SO MUCH FUN!! So many people showed up and we played fun games and had so much fun together! I was amazed at how many people were there even though they didn't know me! It was so nice of them! It was also nice that Jarom was there. He felt a little wierd coming to my bridal shower but i was so grateful that he was there with me! Everyone pitched in and made me the CUTEST cookbook! I LOOOOOOVE it!!!! Thank you so much to EVERYONE that contributed and Jessica and Jan for working so hard to get it done for me! Holy cow, what a big job! But i really do love it! I've already started making some of the recipes! Its so much fun! Jarom and I also went shopping for my wedding band! I've wanted 2 of them, one on each side but he has always told me that i can't have that right away so i was OK with that! When we went though, i guess it was a good deal or i was being a good girl or SOMETHING but he got me BOTH of them!!!! sAweeeeeeeeet!!! We decided that would be for my birthday! Talk about an AAAAAWWWWWEEEEESOME Birthday! (which is TOMORROW BTW!)So i have been without my ring for a whole week and will be without it until i see Jarom again!!! Its kind of a wierd feeling being without it but when i get it back it'll be like a brand new ring! Jarom goes to pick it up today! I can't wait to see a picture of it! Its so pretty!! Anyway, this post is kind of long but to sum it all up, i LOVE Jarom and being with him! :) Thanks to the Lance family (and Jessica, Rory and Sadie) for letting me come and spend time with you and for all that you do for me and Jarom in making everything happen! We are very grateful!! Sorry no pictures! :( I don't really like posting without pictures but we didn't take any to post! Jessica posted some of the bridal shower and amy posted some of the temple so if you haven't seen them yet, you can check those out! :)

Jarom Takes Over!!! well for this one at least...

Well stephanie is on her way home to Oregon from Rexburg, and I got to thinking things like "Hmmm she can't get on the internet right now" and "I'm feeling a bit sneaky right now" even "I want to do something unexpected and pleasingly surprising"! But really it came down to the fact that I don't want to to anymore homework tonight, I've never blogged before and now was an opportunistic time to hijack Steph's blog!! This will probably just a one off deal... probably ;) OK, what are you supposed to do on blogs. Write a clever title, check. Make a little explanation to the post, can be pointless, oh big check here! Oh yeah and pictures, got to get a check on that one so here we go...

This is also from our first trip, but in the great golden state of Cali! She mentioned once, briefly, while I was driving around dangerous turns on a rainy day on the coast of oregon, ok so really it was just down a straight bit of road. But it was briefly mentioned!! In any case she mentioned that she had always wanted to go riding horseback on the beach. This gave me an inspiration on how to woo this fair damsel ;) here is the result!

I GRADUATED!!!!!!!!!

Its finally here!!! I GRADUATED TODAY!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! I'm free!!! It was a pretty emotional day! I LOVE my school SO SO SO much!!! I have changed so much since i have started there and i'm so grateful for everything that i have learned and gained from it! I met some of my best friends there and now i have to leave them! Its so wierd, i'm going from seeing them everyday to probably never seeing them again! I'm excited and sad and exhausted and happy and pretty much every emotion right now but also very proud of myself for everything that i have accomplished! I've become a better person and learned so much!

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!

I PASSED MY TEST!!!!! I knew that i would find out today and this past week was TORTURE!!! I had design team ALL day today so it was killing me, knowing that my scores were up and i couldn't see them! As soon as i got home i kicked off my shoes and ran to the computer right away! I got 95%!! WOA! A lot better than i thought but i guess I am my worst critic! So exciting! Now all i have to do is finish my hours at school and i'll be a REAL Cosmetologist!!! YAY!

Also, Court, Ben and Kris and the kids are coming to Rexburg this weekend!!! I'm SO excited to see them and so happy that they are coming! They are coming for my Bridal shower...well, Court and Kristen are. It'll be SO much fun!! Here's a fun picture of the last time we were together! Its always a party! :) I can't wait!!!

My Valentine :)

Today was the BEST valentines day EVER!!!!! I've been away from Jarom for almost 2 months and I thought that Valentines day was going to be a lonely drag! No fun, and well, just lonely. I wasn't expecting anything and i just wanted to go on with the day like it was a normal day so that i wouldn't have to think about being away from him on valentines day and i even told him that. ha so, i go to school just like any other day except we got to wear red and pink accessories because it was valentines day and so i got up early to wash my hair and put on make up and curl my hair so i would feel pretty :) Anyway, i get to school and we take role call and i'm standing at the color bar folding foils and all of a sudden High School Musical 3 "Can I Have This Dance" song came on ( the song that Jaorm and I will dance to at our wedding :)) so i flipped around real quick and looked around because i KNEW it had to be something for me because honestly, who else is so obsessed with HSM besides me and Jenni?! So, I'm looking around trying to figure out what is going on and to be honest i was getting a little nervous because it felt like a movie or something and i was just waiting for Jarom to pop out from somewhere and surprise me but everyone moved out of the way and they brought me flowers and chocolates and a cute card that he recorded a message in for me! The next best thing if i can't have him!!! It was SOOOOOO CUTE! People were clapping and squealing...i go to a school full of girls, it's bound to happen when a boy does something cute :)...and taking pictures. It seems as though everyone knew about it but me! It was the BEST surprise! I felt so special! I have never had that kind of attention before! It was so much fun! I got a little embarrassed because EVERYONE was watching me but it was still pretty fun! He went through SO much to make it possible for me to have a special day! I'm SO grateful for him and everything he does! I think i'm the LUCKIEST girl in the whole world!!! He works so hard and still finds ways to make things easier for while we are apart! i couldn't ask for more! He's my prince charming! I hope everyone else's Valentines day was as good as mine!! Thanks to everyone that helped Jarom make my day possible! :) here are some pictures of the "Surprise" my roommate took!

Woo Hoo!!!

I took my State Boards!!! It feels so good to have it done but oh man, it was SO SCARY!!! I went into it scared out of my mind but it was exactly what i thought it would be. They prepared us really well for the test at my school and i'm SO grateful for that! The girls around me were doing such weird things, it freaked me out a little bit that i was doing something wrong! But i wasn't :) Overall i feel pretty good about it. I look back on it and think "Ah man, I could have done that better". Or "Gosh i'm so stupid, i know better than that". Ya know, little silly mistakes that you beat yourself up for? GOSH! Oh well, i feel pretty good about it so we'll see! I find out my score in a couple days. They say a week but my teachers tell me they got theirs in about 3 days so we'll see! I'll keep you updated! :) Thanks for all your love and support! Now all i have to do is finish my hours at school! AHHH!! I move home in 18 days! cArazy!!!

Ready or not, here I come!

I got my acceptance letter to take the Idaho State Boards! YIKES! Its for real! The rule is that you have to have 1800 hours before you can take the test and you have to have these hours by a certain date to even apply. I wanted to take the test in February because the next one is March 23rd and i will be graduating in February so i would have had to come all the way back to Idaho just to take my test. Anyway, I was about 20 hours short of what i needed by the cut off date...PUH-LEASE! So i scrambled to find a way to get some extra hours in time. I stayed at school til 10:30 almost every night but I MADE IT! I made it just in time too, i had to overnight my application! On the downside, the day after all of that was done, i started to come down with something really nasty! I went to school until Jarom INSISTED on me staying home and going to the Doctor, so i did. he checked all the normal things you check with people are sick and then he stuck the swab thing down my throat for a strep test and GUESS WHAT....POSITIVE! UGH! So i've been feelin pretty sick but i'm getting better. I went to school for half a day on Saturday and did Jenni's hair :) but then i went home and rested the rest of the day! My life seems to be the same everyday, just taking everything one step at a time. Time seems to be standing still while i count down the days til i graduate, get to see Jarom and the day that Jarom and I will FINALLY get married! I'm assured that the day will come though!

Engagement Pictures! :)

So when Jarom came to Rexburg, we took the oppotunity to take our engagement pictures! Jenni found this GREAT, CUTE, FUN girl/woman ha ha to take our pictures! She also took my Bridal pictures and I LOVE them! I am so grateful for her and the beautiful job she has done with our pictures! We had so much fun with her and together! Jarom was a little camera shy at first but they turned out just how i wanted them to be and i LOVE them! So much to be thankful for!

This week has been so fun and has really made me think about everything I'm thankful for. This was my first year away from home for thanksgiving, it made me REALLY thankful for my family and to be with Jarom and that his family let me come and spend Thanksgiving with them! Jarom came to Rexburg saturday...SAFELY (Barely) and he got to see my school and spend time with some of his friends there and take our engagement pictures :) While he was there, my roommates "surprised" us with a romantic candle lit dinner! It was super great! We had a fun drive to california, LONG but fun! I just really home sick and was pretty sad the day before Thanksgiving but Jarom was right there with me! He's so great! :) Thanksgiving day was SO fun! I did a LOT better than i thought i would to be honest! haha We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and made candy turkeys and ate lots of yummy food and spent time with family! The day after Thanksgiving we woke up early and went shopping and got a Christmas tree with the family! I had so much fun! I definately missed being home but had a lot of fun with my soon to be in-laws! We also went to the Oakland Temple to see the christmas lights on it light up. We went in the RV and ate dinner and waited for the lights to turn on. it happened a lot later than we thought it would but we had fun playing around and talking and spending time together! On sunday we made graham cracker houses with candy and frosting. Its a tradition in the Lance family so it was fun for me to be a part of it this year :) Jarom and I made a gazeebo just like the one we got engaged in. Its pretty cute, i'll post picture of that later! We LOVED spending time together and look forward to our future! Here are some pictures of our fun Thanksgiving together! WARNING: Picture overload!

Jarom and I also took a little drive to Monterey to drop his cousin, Joseph off. We stopped and spent some time at the Beach. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!!

Joanna had this bright idea to make popcorn things to string around the tree so she did it, Janae and i tried to help but our needle was too big and the popcorn kept breaking so i gave up and actually didn't help at all but i posed so it looked like i was doing something haha We had fun!

Thanks to everyone who made my week so fun and to Jarom for coming ALL the way to Rexburg to see me and spend time with me and to the Lance family for letting me come crash their Thanksgiving! I am so blessed and thankful for it all! :)
