A whole lot of catching up to do

The last couple of weeks have been PACKED with fun things! Jenni's wedding being the biggest so i'll do a whole separate blog all about that! We went camping with the Lance family, SO FUN! We went on Bike rides, ate a lot of YUMMY food, played lots of games, and just enjoyed being together! Then, the next weekend Court and John came! Yahoo!! We had SO much fun shopping, eating, shopping, eating more, shopping more, playing cards, went to Monterey and the Aquarium (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the passes), and hung out with the fam! Also, SO FUN! On tuesday Court, John and I drove to Oregon. Jarom couldn't come til Friday, he had to work. It was our first time being apart since we got married. It was a little rough but we were both really busy so it wasn't too bad. And it was only a couple days, so not too bad! We went to the temple with the Jolley's on Wednesday and that night threw a surprise party for Dad and Carol. They were So surprised! It was a lot of fun. We ate cake and ice cream and opened presents and played games. The next day was a busy, busy day! We spent the whole day getting things ready for Jenni's Bridal shower! It was a success and so much fun! Friends and Family came and we ate a lot and played some FUNNY games. She got a lot of good stuff! It was really fun to see everyone again! Friday, JAROM SHOWED UP! I was so excited to see him! I felt like we were engaged again, waiting for his arrival! We did a lot of flower stuff for the wedding and then court, John, jarom and I took a little walk by the river.I had to take off that night to Portland with the girls for the wedding. we all stayed in a Hotel, since the wedding was at 9 a.m. and it was 2 hours away. It was nice and really fun hanging out with the girls! It was a bummer leaving Jarom again, after he had just got there. Oh well, we had fun painting toe nails and talking about wedding stuff :) Next morning we got up bright and early! WEDDING DAY!! Ill post all about that later but everything was PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL and jenni looked amazing and so happy!!! The Reception was incredible and SO much fun! After the Reception we played games with my family. We all had a LONG day so we were all pretty tired. Sunday court and john left, BUMMER :( and we went to church. After church we ate lunch and watched Jenni and Michael open presents and then hit the road. We're home now and i'm SO proud of myself, i didn't even cry!! I've NEVER done that when i leave home, or my family! I think i'm getting better! Sorry there's not much detail but i didn't want this to be a FOREVER long post and i really just want to get to the pictures! So get ready, there's LOTS of pictures!

Garlic Festival

We've been having fun this past week, remembering last year at this time. It was exactly a year ago that Jarom and I met and went to the Garlic Festival! Who would have guessed that we would be married a year later! We had lots of fun! We only took 2 pictures, oops! It was HOT, But fun! We ate lots of Garlic and walked around, looked at some crafty's and fun stuff, listened to some bands and walked A LOT! Here's a picture of us last year and this year. and YES, I'm wearing the same shirt! how funny...and Embarrassing kinda ha ha! I didn't even realize it!

New calling and Jarom's new bike

On sunday i got a new calling! What is it? You guessed it...i'm in the NURSERY! So for a couple of weeks i have been "subbing" in there because the real nursery lady got called to Young Women's. The first week i'm in there, a little kid THROWS UP!!! OH GREAT!! If you don't know, i'm DEATHLY afraid of throw up! UGH! So when i got called to work in the nursery, of course that is a concern but last week there was NO throw up! Hopefully that was just a one time thing!
Jarom got a new bike! For months He has wanted to get one but especially since we brought mine home from my parents house. He researched and researched and researched and finally found one that had good components, the price was good, and some other things that i don't really know about because really, i don't know anything about bikes! except the wheels and the pedals and handle bars! So we have had a lot of fun going on bike rides together!! Here he is before our bike ride last night.

It's about time!

I'm FINALLY blogging about our "2nd Honeymoon-ish" Vacation! I won't write much because i have LOTS of pictures and those are MUCH more fun. 

It was a BLAST! Jarom took me to 2 of my very favorite places! what more could I ask for? We started our trip at DISNEYLAND! We had so much fun together! It was nice to just be together and go on whatever rides we wanted, whenever we wanted. The only Disappointment was that the Indiana Jones ride was ALWAYS closed because it kept breaking down! UGH! So annoying! oh well, we'll catch in next time! :) We were in Disneyland from saturday til tuesday. 

Wednesday morning, we drove to Utah to stay at Ben's for the night. The next morning, we packed up again and took his kids, picked court up and met Amy and the kids and we all drove to Givens Hot Springs in Idaho for our Family reunion! That was so much fun! We went swimming, ate lots of food, went to silver city, ate more food, went swimming some more, went on a wagon ride, sang around the camp fire, ate some more food and swam some more! But i think my favorite part was just hangin out with my family and talking and laughing!! I was looking forward to that the most i think! Jarom also got initiated into the Barrus Family (My moms side of the family)! He was such a good sport! There are LOTS of pictures so ENJOY! :)

4th of July fun

We had a fun 4th of july! Our day started out by going to Morgan Hill for the parade! It was actually really lame and we left early. There were a couple of good floats i guess but the majority of it was so lame! Then we went to the ward picnic. That was fun! Yummy food and good conversation! THen we went to get fireworks and came home. .I took a nap for a little bit while Jarom researched some bikes. He is looking at a bunch of different ones. I think he might order one tonight! Very exciting! THen we had a BBQ with the Lances and friends and watched some sweet fireworks! Gotta love the 4th! I think its my favorite holiday other than Christmas! P.S. Jarom also got me some new capris and i wore them on the 4th of july! he's very proud of them and i love them! super cute and they fit just great!!
I was reading the fireworks box and fell asleep. Jarom thought it was pretty funny. I had my High School Musical bear in one hand and my fireworks in the other.

WIPEOUT

This is our new favorite show! Its SO funny! We look forward to watching it all week! I enjoy it but my favorite part about it is watching Jarom watch and LAUGH so hard at it! He laughs so hard he cries! its hilarious! It makes me laugh even harder than i usually would if i were watching it by myself! I have tried to video him watching it for a long time but i can never get it at the right time when he's REALLY laughing hard! I got a kind of good one today that will just give an idea of how it is. He also kind of reminds me of a little boy, eating his carrots and all. hahaha ENJOY!

Lost my Phone

I lost my phone yesterday. I don't know where it is and Jarom turned it on silent the other day and i never turned the sound back on. YIKES! we've been looking for it but haven't found it yet. So if you have tried to get ahold of me, sorry! hahah Hopefully i'll find it soon. The last time i remember using it was to talk to my mom but i don't know where it went from there. UGH!

M-M-M-MONSTER cookies!!

Last week for our family night activity and treat we... or I made monster cookies!!! Jarom helped too, a little bit! Ha! it was still just fun having him there and having someone to talk to and laugh with while i made this yummy treat! It made A LOOOOOTTTT!!! the recipe was HUGE so we cut it in half and it was STILL really big so we have lots of cookies! Jarom even took some to work! We'll be workin on these cookies for a while! oh well, at least they're yummmmmy!!! :)

Memorial Day!

We had a GREAT Memorial Day!!! We started our our day and went to the Gilroy Memorial Day Parade. It was so much fun! I LOVE parades so i was really excited! We don't have a Memorial Day parade, or at least i don't think we do. If we do, we don't go to it. So this was special and super fun! There were fun floats and Horses and even ELVIS! He was so cool, He was singing on the back of a truck, outfit and everything! At the beginning, they started out by flying planes over our heads and doing special formations and stuff. It reminded me of my dad because at the 4th of July parade, they do that and he loves it! Anyway, after the parade we all went Shopping! WOO! didn't find much, just a skirt but we found Jarom some pretty Handsome shirts! 4 shirts, and a skirt for like $7! It was 50% off at Salvation Army! Sa-weeeet! Then we came back and played badminton and worked up a sweat so we jumped in the pool. By the time i had gotten my swimming suit on, i wasn't as hot as i was before, and i was pretty hesitant to get in the pool because it was FREEEEEEEEEEEZING! But once i got in, it wasn't as bad! The men pulled the trampoline over and we all jumped from the tramp to the pool! SOOOOO FUN!!! We didn't get any pictures of that but it was pretty cool! Jarom was having so much fun flipping and spinning in the air! He was jumping so high, at first i was a little freaked out i'm not gonna lie. Its better than jumping off of the Motor Home roof like he's been asking me if he can do since the first time we went swimming! YIKES! The pool isn't very deep and that thought just freaks me out a little! I don't want a broken husband! So I'm glad he liked the trampoline! Now maybe he'll forget about the Motor Home! Ha Then we had a YUMMY BBQ with Stuffed hamburgers that Jessica made and Corn on the Cob and Baked beans and Salad and Steak and of course, the traditional flag cake made by me (and Jarom)! :) Everything was so yummy and fun!! It was so fun to spend all weekend with Jarom too! NO HOMEWORK or anything! He finished school on Friday (for the semester) I did miss having and traditional Janus Ct. BBQ and festivities, though it was VERY small this year but i'm sure it was just as cool. And jenni, i Missed jenni a lot too! Needless to say, it was a very eventful and fun Memorial day! Thanks everyone for all the fun!!

Fun in the SUN!

Today was SO HOT and SO BEAUTIFUL!! We went swimming at the lances and played in the sun. When i came inside i realized i might have gotten a little too much sun. Not too bad though....so far! It was so much fun! It feels good to be back in the warm sun!! Now i'm back inside finishing my talk for tomorrow. I have to speak and Jarom doesn't! HOW LAME!! oh well :) here are some fun pictures from today! ENJOY :)

Ouchie-Wa-Wa!!

I went Running today...GO ME! It was just like any other day running except this happened!!! I KNOW! OUUUUUUUUUUUCH!!!

Those are BIG, FAT blisters on my feet! Gu-ROSS!!! I don't know what happened, I didn't do anything that i don't usually do! Same shoes, same kind of socks...i can't think of anything that would have made this nasty painful thing happen! I was running and it was going great, i was feelin good. But when i stopped to start my "cool down" walk home, my feet just started killing me so i was like "man, my feet hurt!" So i thought "well, they didn't hurt when i was running, so i'll run home so they don't hurt and that way i can get home faster so i can take my shoes off and rest my poor little feet." Well that wasn't such a good idea. They hurt even WORSE when i ran so i was like "ok i'll walk". Well, it was hurting so bad that i finally just took my shoes off and walked in my socks the rest of the way home. Pretty gross but at that point, i didn't care about it. The only thing that mattered to me was that my shoes were no longer rubbing the crap out of my feet! I finally got home and threw my body on the couch and took off my dirty socks and found those ugly, red, pus filled blisters on my poor feet! Right as i was leaving to go running, Jessica called and asked if i wanted to go to Target with her and i was like "Oh, i'm just about to go running. Maybe next time blah blah blah" and the whole time i was walking home i just kept thinking, "I should have gone to Target with Jessica! That would have been WAY more fun and i wouldn't have gotten these things!" Oh well, you live and you learn i guess. Next time someone asks me to go shopping with them, i'm DEFINATELY going instead of running! The rest of my body however, feels great from running so that's a plus i suppose!

New KitchenAid and Banana Muffins

So, we got a KitchenAid from my parents for our wedding... AWESOME!! I've been wanting to use it but i mostly just use it for Baking, or when i was at home using my moms thats what i would use it for. So i've been waiting to use it to bake because we have SOOOO many treats from the wedding and everything so we don't need anymore treats. I already feel like i've put on a few pounds UGH! I probably haven't, my clothes still fit the same and all but you know that feeling? Well, ANYWAYS- I forgot I had these Bananas and they were all brown and mushy and stuff so i thought PERFECT! I made banana bread muffins, WITH Chocolate Chips of course! They are DELISH!!! Jarom was really excited that i was using my new KitchenAid so he took a picture. Don't mind me, I went running today and haven't taken a shower yet hahha woops
