Its been WAY too long

WOW! This is a LONG time overdue! This will be FULL of pictures so hang in there! I've been doin some pretty fun stuff but haven't had much time to blog about it but today's the day! I went to my family reunion at Lake Alterus! It was so much fun! Courtenay came to Rexburg the night before and we had SO Much fun! We had a slumber party and got a snoasis and went to dinner and a movie and i showed her my school...we packed a lot of stuff into a couple of hours! Then the next morning we packed up and headed out. It was so fun to see my parents and spend time with Ben and Kris and the kids and see all the other crazy family! We played lots of games and had a stick race in the creek and had a talent show, which explains the picture of the buck-toothed old men that i call my family...i'm so proud!! I got pretty sick the last day and so court came back to rexburg with me and spent 2 whole nights! I'm so grateful for her help and support! it was just what i needed, some good sister time! She's the GREATEST! we went shopping and played at the park! it was really fun to show her around rexburg!






Then this past week jenni and i went to oregon for Kelly's wedding! It was Beautiful and her and Tyler were just so cute together! It was fun to spend her happy day with her! I was SO glad to be back in Oregon and be home! The temple was so beautiful! i can't remember the last time i had been to the Portland temple! After the Temple, the wedding party went and had dinner on a boat in Portland! it was SO cool and so pretty! Then the next day we woke up and went to decorate all day for the reception! It was so beautiful! The flowers and everything were just amazing! It was so perfect, they looked so happy together! On sunday we caught our flight back to Boise. Jenni and i had a fun trip and the adventure of a lifetime!!! Read Jenni's blog!! You'll hear allll about it!!! Here comes the pictures...get ready!

Happy Earth Day!!!

Well today was Earth day and my school celebrated it!!! It was SO much fun! The whole school went out and did road side clean up around rexburg....well like the freeways by rexburg! We all had so much fun and then we came back to school and had a BBQ. My school is just the BEST!!!!! And yes, i did get to wear that sweet bright orange vest! I was one of the few lucky ones!!! here are some pictures!

Jenni's Beautiful Hair!!!

Yesterday Jenni came into my school and i did her hair! She spent the night friday night and we had a fun slumber party and then she came to school with me the next morning and i did her hair....for 5 whole hours! haha it was a pretty long process. not the longest i've done though! She was patient and we had fun! we had to do a couple of things to get it to the color that she wanted but it turned out SO pretty! i was really excited about it! probably the prettiest color i have ever done! Not gonna lie though...i was a little scared when i washed her after the first application of the day...HER HAIR TURNED BLUE!!!!!!!! hahaha i could explain why but no one would understand what i was talking about. But it turned out so good and she looks beautiful!! Then i cut it and she just looks beautiful! We had SO much fun and it was fun to show her my school and what i do and stuff and she got to meet all my friends and my teachers and all the good stuff! It was a fun day!

Easter Weekend and Utah

For Easter jenni and i hopped in with Amanda and Derek (My cousins) to Burley where my parents, joe, Andrew, and Court would also be. We all had such a fun weekend together! We made Easter eggs and had Easter egg hunts and just spent time together! Then Monday (My Birthday) I went the rest of the way to Utah with my family for the week! It was a BLAST!!! Exactly what i needed! We did all kinds of fun stuff! We watched the Joseph Smith AND the Emma movie......INCREDIBLE!!! We went bowling and shopping and we ate.....A LOT!!!! Being with family is the happiest place in the world i decided! i'm lucky to have the best family EVER!!! I got such CUTE clothes for my birthday and best of all....I got HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL Pillows and a Blanket!!!

My Girls

I was looking through some old pictures and i came across some cute ones. It just made me really miss being with my girls! The other night Jenni and I got to hang out with Danielle and it was the BEST!! It was just so much fun to catch up and talk about the old days and i got to thinking about how incredibly blessed i am to have such wonderful friends who love and support me so much! I have been thinking about them a lot lately and I was at school today and i just got an overwhelming feeling of love for all of them! I miss Whit SO much and these pictures just made me smile! AND we all have our birthdays this month! Maybe that's why i have been thinking about them a lot lately...or maybe i just love them all SO SO much....probably both! You could say that i'm the luckiest girl in the world! I LOVE my girls!!!

Weekend in Utah and Courts Birthday

I took a trip to utah for the weekend and surprised my family for courts birthday! it was so fun to see everyone and just be together! We ate LOTS of food and played lots of games!! It was just what i needed! The kids are SO big i can't believe it! i had SO Much fun, it was hard to come back to snowy rexburg!!

So last night was an eventful night in the red brick house. I was downstairs minding my own business when all of a sudden i smell an overwhelming scent of nastiness!!! I go upstairs and my roommate, Vicki, had put out a big sheet and was spray painting shirts....SPRAY PAINTING IN OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah but she justified herself by opening the windows and doors....when it was 17 degrees outside!!! So our house was stinky and cold! Dallin came over and we made some brownies but it was hard to eat them in the house when it was smelling like poo....we didn't want our brownies to taste like poo so yup, you guessed it. We took our brownie party outside! it was REALLY cold but the brownies were delish! you can see in the background all the snow we have. that was right outside of my house...its cold!

*Princess Days*

Well today was a GREAT day at school!!!! Just my kind of day! So our school is doing a TON of fund raisers for a lot of different organizations. Our school is trying to raise $30,000 This year and so we are doing a lot of things to help and one of the fund raisers was a fun little thing called "Princess Days" and oh my goodness it was great! i signed up to help because well its just what i love to do. Anyway, my good friend Julianne was in chrage of it and holy cow she did such a WONDERFUL job! No one could have done it better! She is so incredible! Everything she did was so worth it to see the happiest little girls in Rexburg! So we did thier hair and nails and make up and all the fun girly stuff and a lot of them wore their princess outfits. Just imagine the cutest thing ever and that's what it was! it was so great!!! We did that until about 2:30. Then to top it all of and make it an even better day, When i got done i got an appointment and i was like UGH i'm so tired and i looked on the ticket and it said Amanda Taylor and i just lit up and was SO happy!!! I told everyone "Its my cousin!" i was just so excited!!!! She looked beautiful and it was SO much fun to catch up with her! Its SO great for me to have family here to support me! it makes everything so much easier and more enjoyable! So man it was just a fun day! These are a couple of pictures just so you get the idea of how the day was. i'm not in a lot of them but i just want you to see how dang cute it was!

Must see Movies

I went to see August Rush with some friends a couple of days ago...well last week or something and it was SO great!!! Everyone should see it i'm not kidding i'm pretty sure that everyone will LOVE it!!!! It's so great and cute and sad and romantic and funny and just really everything and it's such a good wholesom movie! I was really surprised at how good it was! i mean i knew that it would be a good movie just because of the previews and what everyone had been saying about it but it was more than i expected. It kind of throws some people off that Robin Williams is the bad guy but i thought that he did a great job at his character.





AND.......
Across the Universe. I'm not sure what other people think of it but i thought it was an incredible movie. I thought that it was very artsy and the music of course was so great! i just really liked it a lot. it's what everyone is talking aboiut here so i watched it the day that it came out on video with my friend Dallin and we really enjoyed it! Yes it was a little wierd....well some parts were just really wierd but it just made the movie i think! Anyway...i highly recommend it!!!

It's a great day at The Hair Academy

Ok so today was a GREAT day at school! Some of the girls had just gotten back from a seminar called Beacon....it's a really big deal in the world of cosmetology and only 100 girls are chosen in the counrty and 3 of the girls from our school got to go and so they taght a class on what they had learned from all the famous hair people and stuff....im really downplaying how incredible this is but i just don't know how to explain it and even if i did, i don't know that any of you would understand but well....just know that its and AWESOME thing! So they taught this AMAZING class about, well everything really. The whole time i couldn't help but think about how lucky i am....i go to an AMAZING school, i have friends and family who support me and love me more than i could ever imagine. i know that i couldn't do anything i am doing without them and i was crying just thinking about how much i am loved! I have been having a rough couple of days but things just seem to be going my way lately i mean, going to the temple and i swear this class today was all for me! haha it just helped me to realize that this is where i am suppose to be and i have finally made it!!!! i'm here accomplishing something that i have been working for!!! I am on my way and i can't wait!!! i am So happy!!!!! i honestly wish that everyone could attend my school for just a day and experience the feeling that i feel every single day!!! I feel kind of corny but really i had the best day!!! i just came home and had to lay down because my mind of overflowing with ideas and thoughts about my future and who i am and what i am grateful for! i can finally say that i am happy with who i am and i love myself....i feel so funny to say that but i realy do!!! i'm not being prideful, its just been hard for me to love myself or tell myself that for a long time! I want to tell about everything that i have learned today but my mind is going crazy with all of it i can't even put it all into words! i love being in a place with 75 plus girls who all love and care about eachother so much. i mean yeah, we're girls and we will talk and gossip and everything that girls do but in the end, we all love eachother so much. We all told stories about how crazy our lives are right now and the things that are changing and the room was filled with love and such a great feeling! i love it so much! i just cried and cried and cried!!! hahaha i felt kind of silly because i was honestly the only one but uhhhhh....i wish you could just know!!!! i just had a wonderful day and i want to say so much about everything. My flame was lit today and i am so ready to make it big!!!! Its just such a good feeling. I am so lucky to have a heavenly father who loves me and knows me and what i am going through and just what i need in my life! I am so lucky to be a part of such a great thing! As they say at school.....it was a great day at the hair academy!!!

Going to the Temple

On Tuesday at 7:45 in the morning before school Vicki and I went to through the Rexburg Temple for the open house!!! oh my goodness what an experience!!!!!!!! There are no words to emplain how beaufitul it is. I know that all of you know what i am feeling. It was just what i needed and it came at the perfect time! I wasn't even mad to be getting up so early! i knew that i was going to have a great day!!!! i loved it so much!!! I couldn't help but think about how blessed my life is to be able to do soemthing and be a part of something so special! It was absolutely incredible!!

Sledding....SO fun!!!

Ok so this was my first time to experience some intense sledding! And oh my goodness it was SO much fun!!! kind of Scary at first but once i got used to the feeling of it, it was just so much fun!!! So we wre being pulled my a car as you see in the picture...ahhhhh i have never done that!! i was actually kind of scared but i was trying not to act like a baby!! haha it was just so funny! i couldn't stop laughing once we started going. My lips were frozen to a smile! I had such a wonderful night!

Snow day and Frozen Boogies

I LOVE THE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been having so much fun with the whole snow concept!!!! i love it so much! it makes EVERYTHING so pretty!!! It was my first experience with FROZEN BOOGIES!!!! haha it was so funny! so the first night playing in it, i had gloves on and i felt this HUGE buger so i tried to get vikki to pick it because she didn't have gloves on but she wouldn't so i took my gloves off and there was nothing there!!!! i couldn't figure it out for the longest time!!!!! I finally realized that my nose was freezing and it was my nose hairs!!!! haha it was so funny!

Christmas Tree oh Christmas Tree

So, it being my first holiday season away from home i thought that i HAD to have a christmas tree to feel some christmas joy! So we went to the Grocery store and got a christmas tree. We took it out to the car hooked it on top of the car and pulled it in the house ALL BY OURSELVES!!! it was pretty funny but it's so beautiful now!!! We went to Wal-Mart and got some $1 ornaments (Gold and Red of Course) and put some pretty white lights on it and it just looks SO pretty!!!!! But it didn't just stop there, you can't have a pretty tree and have the rest of the house be ugly so i got some wwrapping paper and went crazy! i wrapped up some boxes to make presents under the tree. I also wrapped up some pictures on the wall to make them look like presents and also the doors and window! AND then i made some cute little stockings with all of our names on them! it was so fun and it really helped me to not be so homesick! I have slept out under the tree every single night ever since!!! i love it! it's just so beautiful!!!

We have Joined the apt. 211 Latin Gang!

So if any of you are familiar with jenni's post a couple of weeks ago about the latin people at her appartment you'll enjoy this one! So we have become quite good friends with them all and WE GO TO THEIR BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!!!! Yup...spanish music and all...we live it up and dance the night away!!! We have grown to LOVE them....well mostly one of jenni's roomies and all of her friends!!!!! They like to do surprise parties for eachother and so we are always in the "Know" for those and we help decorate and get snacks and just the whole thing! It has really surprised us but it is SO much fun!!! we love it and just laugh at ourselves!!!!
